Allanthya: Defiance - Features and Documentation
Allanthya: Defiance has many unique features and additions to make your stay here enjoyable. In the past there has been no listing of features, so it's been left up to the players to discover them. This is both good and bad. It's good because it involves a sense of discovery on the players part. It's bad because some things never get found. Below will be a list of features available in Allanthya: Defiance and the menu to the left will provide links to some documentation.
Current features on Allanthya: Defiance:
- Over 50 new buyable player houses
- Full featured house menu system
- Skill cap of 700.0
- Stat cap of 300
- Custom hues file with hundreds of new colors
- Many unique types of armor including colored ore armor, colored dragon leather armor and special bone armor craftable by GM Tinkers
- Custom full-featured fishing system written by Melen of Allanthya which has fishable rares, fully working SOS bottles and a random encounter system
- Custom cooking system written by Melen of Allanthya allowing many different types of foods to be crafted (currently in rewrite)
- Hundreds of unique monsters to fight, including orcs, savages and special monsters such as the Grendel
- Bounty Hunter NPC's which give contracts to kill a certain number of a random monster. Returning the contract to the Bounty Hunter will reward you with gold and occasionally a semi-rare item
- Fully working escort NPC's, for when you need a little quick money
- Many different colored mounts for tamers
- All known bugs fixed (we hope!)
- Unique potion keg, which allows you to target a container to automatically fill the keg with all of the potions (of the same type as is already in the keg) from that container, instead of doing one at a time
- Fully redeedable gardens that YOU configure by buying seeds and planting what crops you want! These gardens are secure, with the ability to make them public or keep them private
- Expanded puzzle chest system - multiple game types combined for puzzle chests, which at times gives out rares for solving (usually located in dungeons)
- Rares added to many monsters, such as special diamonds that give you immunity to certain types of spells, special bone containers, special weapons and armor, etc..
- CUSTOM CRAFTING MENUS - Not the same old Sphere menus, although by using ".craftmenu new" you can revert back to the old boring menu's. The new menu's support the making of the last item made by double clicking on the crafting tool and then clicking again on the crafting tool. Much easier for macroing
- Custom Bulk Order Deeds (currently available for Blacksmiths and Tailors) written by Melen of Allanthya, which occasionally give out rares unfindable anywhere else
- New treasure map system (partially implemented, to be put fully into affect very soon). This system has 2 parts. The first part is a set of 3 random "Ancient Chests" colored bright orange which spawn in random places on the server. They remain in 1 place for ONLY 30 minutes, at which time they are automatically removed and spawned elsewhere. These chests have the ability to be trapped, locked or just wide open. Locked chests are pickable by new lockpicks available at Tinker vendors. The Ancient Chests are a hell of a find, providing ALOT of great loot such as skill crystals, etc. The second part to the system is a complete rewrite of the treasure map system. The rewrite enables treasure to spawn anywhere on the server, instead of Sphere's default predefined list of places. This will do away with those players who mark runes to every place a treasure can spawn. Because of the increase in difficulty, when this second part goes into effect (the first part is already up and running!) the treasure map loot will be greatly expanded.
- Address books available so you can leave message for friends that can even be offline when you send them. The message appears as a scroll in the recipients backpack
- Custom healing script, modified from the original authors intention
- RENTABLE STATIC HOUSES AND ROOMS written by Melen of Allanthya. Houses and rooms with bright red signs are rentable and can contain player vendors. Some of these rooms are currently available just south east of Britain bank and south of the west Britain bridge. More static rooms and houses will be added very soon as well as integration with the full house menu system!
- Player vendor system written originally by Cloud but modified by Melen. Gives a very workable secure, bug-free player vendor system that's easy for the vendor owners and the customers to use. These vendors do not need to be paid daily, instead they will keep 5% of whatever you make selling your items
- Season/time system. Day and night, and seasons change for a little more realism
- Runebooks available, very soon to be expanded
- Fixed boats - boats should not break, this incorporates fixes from various people in the Sphere community as well as some modifications by Melen. Boats are redeedable by double clicking on the tiller man when not on the boat
- Most all potions are working, such as the potions of forgetfullness which lower a specific skill
- Allanthya has a busy update schedule. New things are added almost daily! Currently in the works are: an osi-like plant growing system, rune weapons (to add some uniqueness to players weapons), new puzzles for the puzzle chests, full fledged quests, additions to the gardens, more spells, items, potions and armor, and much much more!
